Dewrito | Terms of Service

Welcome to Dewrito.net (the "Service"), a Matrix protocol homeserver for decentralized, secure, federated communication, along with self-hosted Fluxer instances for real-time instant messaging, VoIP, screen sharing, and community features. By accessing, registering for, or using the Service, you agree to these Terms of Service and our incorporated Community Guidelines.

1. Definitions

Service: Our Matrix homeserver (rooms, bridges, bots, federation features) and self-hosted Fluxer chat platform (channels, VoIP, media sharing, moderation tools).
You/User: Any individual or entity using the Service.
Content: Messages, files, rooms/channels, media, voice calls, screen shares, and other data you transmit.
Federation: Matrix inter-server communication. Fluxer operates on a per-instance basis (no native cross-instance federation).

2. Eligibility and Accounts

You must be at least 18 years old with a valid, verified email address.
You are responsible for maintaining account security. Report unauthorized access immediately.
Accounts are personal; community/business use is allowed but must comply with all rules below.
We may require identity verification for compliance (age, payments, legal obligations).

3. Community Guidelines

We strive for a welcoming, respectful community across both Matrix and Fluxer features. Violations may result in content removal, channel bans, or account suspension.

Expectations: Be friendly, patient, welcoming, considerate, respectful. Honor diversity (race, gender, orientation, disability, etc.). No discrimination. Resolve disagreements constructively.

Unacceptable Behavior includes: offensive comments on protected characteristics; deliberate misgendering/deadnaming; threats or violence incitement; stalking and intimidation; unwelcome sexual attention; sustained disruption; doxxing; pattern of inappropriate contact after requests to stop.

We do not act on good-faith boundary-setting, tone complaints, or non-malicious discussion. Report violations via in-client tools or email abuse@dewrito.net.

4. Fluxer-Specific Rules

Use for lawful communication: text chat, voice/video calls, screen sharing.
Commercial hosting is allowed only if you comply with AGPLv3 and our general prohibited activities.
Respect privacy: do not record calls without consent; enable E2EE where available.
Prohibited: spam/bots flooding channels; CSAM, explicit adult content, hate speech, threats, illegal material; circumventing moderation tools.
Excessive resource use may result in throttling or suspension.
Fluxer is provided "as-is"; no uptime guarantees.

5. User Conduct and Prohibited Activities

Strictly Prohibited:

Any illegal activity: CSAM, hate/harassment/threats, fraud, drugs/weapons, human trafficking.
Spam/phishing/technical abuse: bulk messages/calls, malware, DDoS, hacking.
Intellectual property violations (DMCA takedowns honored).
High-risk businesses (PayPal/Stripe compliance): adult content, gambling, drugs/firearms, crypto mining/ICOs.
Fluxer/Matrix-specific: impersonation, bot spam, non-consensual recording, circumventing bans.

6. Payments

Paid plans use PayPal or Stripe. Comply with their AUP/Prohibited lists. Fees are non-refundable except as required by law.

7. Moderation, Enforcement, and Termination

We may remove content, suspend/limit/terminate accounts for violations, legal needs, or risk. Appeals: support@dewrito.net. Providers may suspend services independently.

8. Disclaimers and Liability

Service provided "AS IS" — no warranties regarding availability, security, or federation/VoIP quality. Not liable for data loss, third-party actions, or indirect damages. You indemnify us and our providers.

9. Privacy

Data processed per applicable law. Matrix federation shares metadata; Fluxer instances are user-controlled.

10. Governing Law

United States law applies. Class action waiver where permitted.
