Dewrito runs two chat services. Matrix is the open, federated network where most of our community lives. Fluxer is a self-hosted, Discord-style app. You can use one or both.

1 Create your account
Matrix and Fluxer use separate accounts. Start with one — you can add the other later.
Matrix
The open, federated protocol. Full control, end-to-end encryption, and works across the wider Matrix network.

Registration happens through Sable, our hosted web client. Your Matrix ID will be @yourname:dewrito.net.
Fluxer
A Discord-style app with channels, roles, voice/video, and screen sharing — fully self-hosted.

Write down your password.
Matrix encrypts private rooms on your device. If you lose both your password and your recovery key, nobody (including us) can recover your encrypted history.

2 Pick a client (Matrix)
Any Matrix app works with your Dewrito account. When asked for a homeserver, enter dewrito.net.
3 Join the Dewrito space
Our official space contains the general chat, announcements, and community rooms.
- Say hello in #dewrito_general:dewrito.net
- Open the space and join the rooms you want
4 Secure your account
- Set up key backup — Enable Secure Backup and save the recovery key in a password manager.
- Verify new devices — Use the emoji verification when you sign in somewhere new.
- Notifications (optional) — Turn them on in the mobile app if you want pings.
Good to know
- Bridges — Discord bridge is available. Ask in the general room.
- Reporting — Use the client report feature or email abuse@dewrito.net.
- Status — Check the status page if something feels offline.
